Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Anchor platform and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services. We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our website.

2. About Anchor

Anchor is a settlement services platform operated by Talent Empowered, established within the European Union. We provide coordination and advisory services for individuals and companies navigating cross-border settlement in European countries.

3. Services

Our services include visa and residency application support, tax registration coordination, banking setup assistance, housing search facilitation, health system registration guidance, and ongoing compliance monitoring. The specific scope and pricing of services are defined in the personalized service proposal you receive and accept.

Anchor acts as a coordination and advisory service. We facilitate interactions with government agencies, financial institutions, and local specialists, but we do not guarantee outcomes from these external bodies. Processing times, approval decisions, and third-party actions are outside our control.

4. Your Account

To use our platform, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

5. Your Obligations

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information for your settlement case.
  • Respond to document requests and communications within reasonable timeframes.
  • Attend appointments as scheduled (consular, government, or specialist meetings).
  • Not use our services for any unlawful purpose or to misrepresent your circumstances to government authorities.

6. Payment and Fees

Fees are set out in your personalized service proposal and are quoted in euros. Anchor fees and third-party government costs are always listed separately. Payment is due upon acceptance of your service proposal unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may result in suspension of services.

If you are a consumer within the EU, you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of acceptance without giving a reason (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 9). However, if you request that services begin within the withdrawal period and we have started work on your case, you acknowledge that you may be liable for the proportional cost of services already rendered.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, software, designs, and materials on the Anchor platform are owned by Anchor or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Anchor shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable EU or Portuguese law.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the service relationship with written notice. If you terminate before completion, fees for services already rendered remain due. Anchor may terminate or suspend services if you breach these terms or fail to cooperate with reasonable requests. Upon termination, your data rights under our Privacy Policy remain in effect.

10. Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes informally. If we cannot resolve a dispute, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr (Regulation (EU) 524/2013).

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, Portugal. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also retain any mandatory consumer protection rights afforded by the laws of your country of residence.
